I'm back! Three years since I last posted an entry and three minutes since I realized I have a blogger account under this gmail account. I read my most recent posts from three years ago and realized the poster was indeed a younger version of me. Those were the posts from a girl who has still a lot to learn. Now, I think I have some news to tell that girl. I want to scold that girl and tell her that she should have believed in herself more and had gone to where she really wanted to go. That she should have gone outdoors and did lots of adventures. But too bad, it's too late.

It's not that I am a nobody. Well, I'm still a law student and is now in a very stable job. But things have been too...regular. Everyday, I need to this and that. I need to repeat every step daily and one mistake will destroy the entire routine and I will break down in despair and stress.

Like what I have said, we only live once and yet I let myself fall into the trap of becoming settled "normally". All I can tell myself is to wait. Wait for what? People call it "opportunity", I'd rather call it "chance".

Happy New Year!

Social Network Battles

I have a lot of social network accounts. They're so many, I've lost track of them. There are three main accounts I have been updating. Facebook, Friendster and MySpace. I have a Twitter and a Hi5 account and some others I really don't remember actually.

Facebook has been gaining popularity and is still gaining more. Friendster users have decided to log-in their Facebook accounts for their virtual farms and restaurants. And yes, even their mafias. So what did Friendster do? It seems that the bulletins aren't that flooded anymore. So the light blue color turned to jazzy green. The smiley which was once in a diagonal style turned into an ear-to-ear smile with two eyes that looked like double quotation marks. MySpace added games and applications. And one common story in the three networks? APPLICATIONS.

Yes, you get to have Mafia Wars (Zynga) from all of them. Friendster has incorporated a lot of flash games on their apps. Facebook almost relied on player invitations and panel ads for the applications (it's better to have games that your friends got). MySpace...let's just say, I like them better to be music and video entertainment-focused.

I-Am-Bored

Another very interesting and hilarious website. When you're bored, visit www.i-am-bored.com

The name of the website speaks for itself. It is a perfect website for people who are bored.

It says:

"Loads of viral videos, games, memes, lists and social networking for when you're bored. Updated every day, so visit often."

What's up with the word "viral"? Honestly, I have no idea. But it certainly is a website loaded with a lot of fun. By the word "fun", I meant "hilarious"

Toxel.com

Alright, now I'm reviewing websites. I just typed "coffee mugs" in Google and found one amazing website in one of the results.

Toxel.com. It was so cool, I can't resist to take a look at it. And sure it was an amazing blog/website. It features very cool and creative products, ideas and things designed and created by real people around the world. Check this picture out: (I typed "coffee mug")

The website made me smile. Well, who wouldn't? It so funny how people can come up with ideas like this, yet, only few of them would try and really put those ideas into reality. Creativity is something that should be flaunted, right? Guys who made these ideas made a good job into showing the world their works.

Technically, Toxel.com looked like a photo magazine site for me. I missed the "Read the Full Post" link below each picture. Hehehe. Sorry for that. Then I browsed over the site and voila! it is more than a photo magazine blog. It was a "design, inspiration, technology" blog. Well, it certainly is! I had some laughs about it because the designs are funny and cute. It's like watching a gallery of famous paintings.

First Post -- Who am I exactly?

Call me Kristine. I am an law student. I live a simple life.

Simple. Yet horrorific. I know, not "horrific". Horrorific. I prefer to describe my life that way. I guess the reason is that I can't do everything that I wanted. It seems that my life is meant to be decided by these people around me. Did they even ask if I wanted to be a lawyer? No. But I took up Law course anyway. Did they ask me if I wanted to be an accountant? No. But I finished my pre-law course Accountancy anyway. Did they ask me if I wanted to be a CPA? No. But I'm taking the board exams this year. See? My career life is controlled by them.

Them? Who the hell are they?

Parents. Sounds familiar?

I always wanted to be an artist. A writer. Or someone with a job that would observe and see more things that appear in life. Law. Accountancy. I guess, they make you see things. But things that are limited to your job. Papa said, I won't live a happy life with arts. He said, there's no money in hobbies and arts. Will being a lawyer or an accountant make my life worth it? I tried to tell him that we all live once. Why can't I live my life by seeing the world?

But what is done is done. I graduated from college. Went to law school. Turned twenty-three. Taking the board exams this year. And didn't even try to look for a job. Great. What a life!
